The tail drive system opens up new realms.
What the Saugeen 40 aimed for was the vitality emitted by real small fish.
Taking full advantage of the tail drive system, which allows an ultra-slim body to swim with the same lively energy as a real small fish, the Saugeen 40 was born.
Imagine a small fish-sized hard lure swimming energetically... doesn't that excite you?
Whether in streams, lakes, or the ocean, for targets that are picky about micro bait.
Please give it a try in various fishing environments.
Action
The unique tail drive system from NLW and the blade attached to the belly serve as the two sources of movement to create action.
With Blade Attached (Normal Setting)
This setup excels in slow to medium speed ranges. As the blade sways from side to side, it strikes the body, creating a knocking sound as it swims. The swimming motion has a pitch similar to that of a sinking pencil lure. It’s recommended for situations when you want to entice the fish slowly, using a shaking retrieve or a leisurely roll.
Without Blade
While it struggles at slower speeds, it performs exceptionally well at high speeds. It generates a tail-wagging action reminiscent of small fish, swimming with a jittery, lively motion. The image is similar to a lipless crankbait swimming in a nearly horizontal posture. This configuration operates almost silently, making it ideal for scenarios where fish might see the lure with the blade attached, or when you want to entice fish using speed.
